Johnathan Edwards (1730-1758) took the pulpit at age 13, was a theologian who was used by God to spark the Great Awakening, he is remembered for his famous sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God".

The Sermon of "Sinners In The Hands of an Angry God" was written by Jonathan Edwards. This sermon basically talks about hell, Edwards perused the people to repent from their evil ways and to turn to God. He said if they didn't they would be sent and condemned to hell.

George Whitefield was English born, he preached to many very large audiences in America. He drew about 50,000 hearers to Boston Common.

Whitefield was an Anglican preacher who helped spread the Great Awakening in Britain and in the British American Colonies. He was used by God to spark this awakening. In 1740 he publicly condemned John Wesley's doctrine of free grace. After this he was acknowledged as the leader of Calvinist Methodism.
